Meet Bonnie — the girl who just needed the right home, not a final goodbye.
Bonnie’s life was nearly cut short over something that should have been a simple realization—not a life-ending decision.
She was scheduled for euthanasia by her owner after not getting along with the cats in the home. A mismatch in household dynamics turned into a crisis she couldn’t control.
But her story didn’t end there.
A veterinary professional saw the bigger picture—saw Bonnie—and reached out to us for emergency placement. Because dogs don’t deserve to lose their lives over an environment that wasn’t right for them. They deserve thoughtful placement, guidance, and the opportunity to thrive where they truly belong.
And Bonnie has done exactly that.

Miss Bonnie is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. She has been cleared of all 30 genetic disorders we test for and passed her wellness exam with flying colors.

Bonnie is house trained, crate trained and we've established a decent recall with a great response to verbal corrections. She gets excited when first out on an adventure but settles in quickly and is easy to walk.
Her adoptive family will receive 4 complimentary training sessions should they feel the need for them.

Today, Bonnie is everything you’d want in a loyal, loving companion.
She’s been wonderful with every person she’s met, greeting the world with an easygoing, affectionate nature that makes her an instant favorite. She moves through life with a calm confidence—happy to be by your side, no matter what the day holds.
Whether it’s lounging on the couch, watching TV, chewing on her favorite bone, or heading out for a walk or hike, Bonnie is simply happiest being with her people. Wherever you are… that’s where she wants to be.
She’s also shown that she can navigate the world well—walking through parks with other dogs and small animals around without issue. However, based on her past experiences, Bonnie will need a cat-free home to ensure she continues to feel comfortable and set up for success.
Bonnie isn’t complicated—she just needed the right fit.
A home that understands her, a space where she can relax, and a family who will include her in life’s everyday moments.
She was almost overlooked because of a situation that didn’t define her.
Now, she’s ready for the life she should have had all along.
If you’re looking for a steady, loving companion who will be right by your side through it all… Bonnie is ready to meet you.
