Meet Gus — the boy who walked away from chaos and chose love instead.
Gus was removed from his home following a domestic incident—caught in an environment no dog should ever have to navigate. When the family was given the option to reclaim him, they chose not to. With nowhere else to go, Gus was scheduled for euthanasia.
A life put on the line because of circumstances he couldn’t control.
But Gus got the second chance he deserved.
After speaking with the APS officer handling his case, we were able to step in and bring him into our care. Because dogs should never lose their lives due to environments created by humans. They deserve safety, stability, and the opportunity to start over in a home that reflects the life they should have had all along.
And Gus has embraced that fresh start with his whole heart.

Gus is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Gus is house trained, crate trained and a ton of fun to play with.
His adoptive family will receive 4 complimentary training sessions should they feel the need for them.
Today, Gus is a happy, affectionate boy who truly loves his people.
He has yet to meet a human he doesn’t adore, and his easygoing, playful personality makes him a joy to be around. He’s the kind of dog who soaks up attention—whether it’s belly rubs, ear scratches, or simply being close to his favorite people.
Toys that squeak, snacks that crunch, and moments spent by your side? That’s Gus’ version of a perfect day.
When it comes to other dogs, Gus can be a bit selective, so thoughtful introductions and meet-and-greets will be important to ensure the right fit for everyone.
He also has a playful, “nibbly” side to his personality, which means he would do best in a home with children over the age of five who can understand and respect his playful nature.
Gus doesn’t ask for much—just a home where he can feel safe, be loved, and enjoy the simple things in life.
He came from a place of uncertainty, but you’d never know it by the way he loves.
Now, he’s ready for a future that feels nothing like his past.
