Hazel
Hazel is estimated to be about 5 years old but her exact age is unknown. We are hoping to Age Test her soon. If you'd like to sponsor her age test, she'd love your support!
Hazel's DNA test revealed that she is 46% American Pit Bull Terrier, 22%
American Staffordshire Terrier, 18% Siberian Husky, 4% Chow Chow, 2% Labrador Retriever, 2% American Bulldog, 2% Boxer, 2% Bulldog, 1% German Shepherd, and 1% Border Collie. View her Wisdom Panel Results for more information!
Hazel was adopted from a shelter in 2023 and returned in 2025 due to a "leaky bladder". With the shelter being at capacity, she was scheduled for euthanasia. We were able to save her on 07/11/25 and since that time, have had no issues with her bladder whatsoever.
Hazel is up to date on vaccinations, chipped and spayed. She is in great health with her only intake issue being skin related, due to a chicken allergy we discovered in her allergy testing. We've since got her on a chicken-free food and she is doing beautifully!
Hazel is house trained, crate trained, has learned to sit on command and is currently working on additional training with us. She is food motivated, playful and eager to please so we have had no issues with teaching her new skills. Anyone who adopts Hazel prior to her completing her training will receive complimentary training sessions. We don't want to hold her back from a forever home for things that can be taught at a later time.
Hazel loves everyone who she has met and the feeling has been mutual. She has a contagious, playful spirit while providing a calm and comforting presence that everyone loves. She is a cuddler and lover first, who would rather go for a walk or watch a movie with you than play ball. Comfy blankets are her jam but she enjoys taking in some sunshine as well.

​Dogs that match her calm energy would be best suited to share a home with her, although she has been good with a few on the more energetic side. A meet and greet with any potential pack mates would be needed to ensure everyone gets along.
