Meet Nyx — the quiet soul who just needed time, not a deadline.
Nyx’s life was nearly cut short over a moment that should have led to guidance—not goodbye.
After a scuffle with another dog in the home, her owner made the decision that having two dogs was “too much,” and Nyx was scheduled for euthanasia. Just like that, her story was almost over.
But someone stepped in.
A veterinary professional, knowing there was more to Nyx than a single incident, reached out to us for emergency placement—and gave her the chance she deserved.
Because dogs don’t deserve to lose their lives over human limitations. They deserve understanding, thoughtful placement, and the opportunity to succeed in the right environment.
And Nyx is proof of what can happen when they’re given that chance.
You can view her intake and story through her highlight reel on our IG

Nyx is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. She has been cleared of all 30 genetic disorders we test for and passed her wellness exam with flying colors.

Nyx is house trained, crate trained and she is a dream to walk on leash.
Her adoptive family will receive 4 complimentary training sessions should they feel the need for them.

Today, Nyx is learning to trust the world again—one step at a time.
She’s a naturally shy girl who takes a moment to warm up to new people. New environments and unfamiliar faces can feel overwhelming at first, but with patience and space, Nyx begins to show you who she really is.
And when she does… it’s something special.
The timid exterior melts away, revealing a playful, lighthearted girl who brings a quiet kind of joy to those around her. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention—but earns it, slowly and meaningfully, building a bond that feels incredibly rewarding.
Nyx will thrive in a home that understands the value of patience—one that will give her the time she needs to come out of her shell at her own pace.
When it comes to other dogs, Nyx does best with male dogs of similar size or larger. Meet and greets will be important to ensure the right fit and help set her up for success.
She may not be the dog who runs up to greet you right away—but for the person willing to wait, Nyx offers something deeper.
Trust. Connection. And a love that’s built, not rushed.
Nyx wasn’t given the chance she deserved before.
Now, she’s ready for someone who will give her exactly that.
If you believe in patience, understanding, and the kind of bond that’s worth the wait… Nyx is ready to meet you.
