Aya
Aya is estimated to be under 2 years old but her age is unknown. We are hoping to Age Test her soon. If you'd like to sponsor her age test, she'd love your support!
Aya is believed to be a Belgian Malinois or Malinois mix. Her DNA test has been ordered and results will be posted as soon as we have them.
Aya was pulled from a local shelter by another rescue on 07/25/24 and we began to foster her that same day while she awaited service dog training and placement. Due to her natural energy and curious nature, she was unable to qualify for service dog training. Due to how sociable and friendly she is, she was washed out from law enforcement training. On June 6th of 2025, she was officially transferred to the Misfit Ranch family so we could help her find her forever home.
Aya is up to date on vaccinations, chipped and spayed. She is in great health and has no known food allergies.
Aya is house trained, crate trained and has basic obedience training and is great in public.
Aya has been great with all people but would best be suited for children 8 years of age or older due to her energy levels. She has gotten along with all dogs we've introduced her to but her energy levels can be difficult for some dogs.

Aya needs a family that is familiar with the breed or willing to learn about her needs and put in the work to keep her mentally and physically exercised. She loves to play ball, go on runs and go hiking. She is very athletic and would excel in a sporting environment, whether for hobby or competition.
