Onyx's birthdate is September 25th, 2024.
Onyx's's DNA test revealed that she is 37% Cane Corso, 28% Neapolitan Mastiff, 13% Rottweiler, 5% Mastiff, 5% Boxer, 3% American Pit Bull Terrier, 3% Bullmastiff, 2% American Bulldog, 2% Dogue de Bordeaux, 1% Doberman Pinscher and 1% German Shepherd. Onyx was found as a stray and a brought into our local shelter. She was intact and sources say, her family came to reclaim her. However, she was being used for backyard breeding and the family refused to have her spayed and said they'd rather her be euthanized. She eventually ended up on the euthanasia list and when her story was brought to our attention, we stepped in to care for her.​
Onyx is now spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and was given a clean bill of health.
Onyx is an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl. She is very smart and has picked up quickly on basics, such as sitting on command. She is house trained and crate trained as well.
Despite her start in this world, Onyx has loved everyone we've introduced her to. Her playful spirit wins everyone over and she wants nothing more than to have fun with you!

We have successfully introduced her to a variety of people, including children, during her socialization with us without issue. She would make a wonderful companion and her goofy nature and expressive personality will make you laugh daily. She is not aware of her size, which can make for some comedy throughout the day.
While she has shorts bursts of energy and enjoys play time, activities and walks throughout the neighborhood, it doesn't take long for couch to call her name. She enjoys chew time and cuddles just as much as any other activity and will fill your day and home with love!

Meet and greets would be needed for any potential pack mates to ensure compatibility but Onyx has enjoyed meeting most of the dogs we've introduced her to.
