Hansel
An age test was completed on Hansel and his birthday is estimated to be July 28th, 2017.
Hansel's DNA test revealed that he is 57% German Shepherd, 37% Belgian Malinois, 3% Akita, 1% Collie, 1% White Swiss Shepherd and 1% Siberian Husky. View his Wisdom Panel Results for more information!
Hansel was found wandering the streets of Las Vegas with another one of our residents (Gretel) during the summer of 2022 when temps were already in the triple digits. His paws were so severely burned that he had exposed nerves and it took many months to heal. We spent almost a year searching for his family without any luck.

With our help, he received the medical care he needed and a safe space to rest and recover without being separated from his stray-mate Gretel.
​
We've since had him neutered, vaccinated, chipped and have provided basic training.
Hansel is in good health and up to date on vaccinations. He was chipped and neutered in April of 2023. His latest weigh in was 110 lbs.
Hansel is house trained, crate trained and has basic obedience.
He knows sit, down and stay.
Hansel is bonded with his stray-mate Gretel and it would be ideal to have them find a furever home together. However, we are willing to separate for the right family. He loves being with people and would be happy to do everything from hiking to cuddling on the couch.

Hansel has been great with all people and dogs of all sizes. A cat tolerance test still needs to be completed.
