Miss Ellie was adopted during the holidays and came back for the day so she could get a bath and nail trim.
š One of the supportive services we offer our adoptive families is a complementary bath and nail trim every three months for the life of their new family member.

š¤ Why do we do this? There are many reasonsā¦
āŖļøfinding a groomer willing to work with large breed dogs can be difficult
āŖļøfinding a groomer thatās able to be patient and take the time to get to know a rescue dog to make them comfortable can be difficult
āŖļøsome groomers have breed/weight restrictions
āŖļøgetting a rescue dog to trust a new person whoās coming at them with a hose and a nail trimmer can be difficult
āŖļøgrooming in general, is a stressful experience for most dogs and our goal in placing our Misfits is to make the experience as stress-free as possible
āŖļøwe are with our Misfits every day and get to know them very well so by the time they find their forever homes, being bathed and getting their nails trimmed by us is a normal thing for them
āŖļøit helps to save our adoptive families money on grooming costs
āŖļømost importantly, our Misfits will always be a part of our family so we love catching up and learning about how happy and spoiled they are
